It was a match to remember for neutrals, one for the history books for Good Fellas FC and failed resilient fight-back for Dlangezwa Hellenic FC as they were gunned down by 5–3 by the UMzimkhulu based team.
It was the porous defending of Hellenic FC that let in five goals, with two goals coming in at the 89th and 90th minutes of the match after the score was 3–3.
It was Hellenic FC who struck first, following Fanele Magubane’s opener at the 15th minute.
The home team responded, leveling matters, and thereafter took the lead from the spot, taking the halftime score to 2–1 in favor of Good Fellas.
The home team furthered their lead at the beginning of the second half, taking the score line to 3–1.
A heroic brace by Magubane in the 51st minute, signalled comeback efforts by the visiting team, Hellenic FC.
The fight back was completed at the 70th minute, as Mthethwa from the visiting team fired home taking the score to 3–3.
However, the visiting team’s porous defensive work opened up for two late goals by the home team which wrapped up the eight-goals-thriller, Good Fellas FC defeating Dlangezwa Hellenic FC by 5–3.
